Brand New Office With Plenty of History
Earlier this year, the team at Initia Limited moved into their brand new office, at Hillingdon House, Wren Avenue, Uxbridge.
Hillingdon House
Hillingdon House is a Grade II listed building in Greater London. The mansion was originally built in 1717, as a hunting lodge for a British Army Commander, however, after being burnt down in 1844, a new house was built in it’s place.
Since then, the house has been used as a Military Hospital and a RAF Hillingdon base. However, it closed in 2011 for a brand new renovation, which would see it turned into new offices and a new restaurant.
The team moved into their new office in April and were the first residents to move into the newly renovated building.
Battle of Britain
Despite the new surroundings already being idyllic, there is also a little bit of important history just across the road from Hillingdon House.
The Battle of Britain Bunker, which housed RAF Fighter Command’s No.11 Group Operations during World War Two, is just opposite. During the 1940s, the bunker was home to the RAF and the key decisions that would decide the fate of the nation.
