Roppenheim Centre: A Decade On

roppenheim

It seems a little surreal that this project is now officially ten years old, however we are thrilled to say that it still looks as incredible than ever.

It has been a whole decade since Initia Limited completed work on this project, and nine years since it officially opened in 2011. However, the outlet has gone from strength to strength and has just enjoyed a very successful Christmas trading.

This exciting outlet consists of over a hundred high-end designer units and famous High Street brands, as well as a wide selection of restaurants, cafes and a farmers market.

The moated lakes surrounding the centre are also used as a boating lake in the summer, as well as a man-made beach with sunbeds and parasols; making for a great day out.

The concept for this project was based on the architecture of the medieval fortified villages of the Alsace region. Our original scheme for Freeport plc was won through a competition and then following getting all the necessary approvals from the region and City of Strasbourg.

The concept and scheme was then sold to MAB of the Netherlands and Neinver of Spain, who together funded the construction of the centre and still successfully run it today.

Here’s to the next successful ten years!
